Having a website online requires paying for web hosting. The only workaround is using services like Wix; however, with Wix, your site’s address will look like yourdomain.wix.com (meaning their branding appears in your URL... which isn't very professional). If you want your own standalone domain name (yourdomain.com), then hosting is necessary.

Nope. What you will need to do is to sign up for website hosting with us (which is what you’ll need to put any website on the internet, and our monthly price is more competitive than Wix or Squarespace).

Not at all! If you already own a domain name, that's perfect. If not, no worries — we’ll walk you through how to choose and register one.

We take the time to thoroughly review each application we receive. Our Applications Committee looks at a few key points:

1. Do we like the overall idea for the website/does it seem like it will benefit the business?

2. Is the business or project ethical?

3. Is the site overly complex or beyond what we can offer through our free-website program?.

We announce the winners within 24-72 hours after the giveaway ends.

Through our free-website offer, we build businesses clean, modern, and straightforward websites. Utilizing professional templates and our in-house graphic design, we’ll design your website, set up the back-end, and make sure it is optimized to rank well on Google so you can turn clicks into customers. We do this within 8-12 hours of work.

Our free offer will not apply to businesses with highly complicated needs (i.e. many advanced functions, heavy custom coding requirements, e-commerce stores). However, we can still provide those solutions through our standalone services. If you start off with a free website and later find you need more complex features, we can assist you as you with scaling your website to match every step of your business growth.

Not at all! We provide clear, step-by-step instructions at every during every stage of the process (and require minimal input from you other than design and copy preferences). Once the website is done, we'll send a detailed video showing you how to edit it so you can be fully in charge of it yourself!

Assuming you fill out the required information promptly and don't request any complex additional features, we will aim to have your website completed within 3-4 weeks. If you need longer to decide on designs or content, that's more than fine! We can work at your pace, if needed.

Yes! Once we are done building your website and hand it off to you, you will have full control. You will be able to make changes and revisions, and we will provide you with a tutorial video about how to do so (changing buttons, text, colours, images, etc), so you never have to rely on outside help unless wanted.

Nope, that's not necessary. We'll just request the basics from you, like preferred design, colours, etc. If you don't have business photos, copy, a logo, or other content done, that's fine, too! We can use other tools to complete your website, and you'll be able to make content updates/changes whenever you'd like.

We provide long-term support as an optional, additional service. If you don't want to be in charge of making edits, or learning a new platform, or want more complex features later on, we can assist with all of the above, from hourly to monthly rate options. to hourly rates. However, we aim to make your website hand-off as easy as possible, so if you want to do so yourself, you never have to rely on outside help.
